G-Hawk

For posterity sake let it be known that 80% (not to be totally exact but close enough) of Gator's 1st year of life his hair was styled in his famous faux hawk. In our family we referred to this hair style as the G-Hawk (courtesy of Jon's naming skills of course). One of my favorite things to pair this fab hair style was his guitar Robeez shoes which unfortunately he has grown out of (maybe I will have to get him a new pair:).

A First for Brianna

Guess who lost their first tooth today!!!!

Liberty of London

My FAVORITE!!! line yet to come to target. I absolutely love their bold patterns and bright colors. I haven't bought any of the home line(yet) but I am loving the little girl dresses (I wish I could find a picture to show but I think I will just have to post a couple of pics of the dresses on my girls). The beautiful thing is how affordable the line is (which makes it easier to buy all of your favorites :).

The girls

I know the last 4 posts were about the Gator (He's the baby what can I say) But what about the girls. I am glad you asked. Here's a few quick pics of my lovely ladies starting with a favorite from last summer in paradise aka Aunt Tracy's pool and the lovely Bingo who could not get enough of floating in the raft around the pool.

Making breakfast. Jon and I woke up one Sunday morning at about 6 to this ummm... lovely sight. This is a sister moment that I love

P.J day at school sporting the Spongebob look. Beautiful smile :)

The Burr dancing to Lizzy's MP3 player in her pettiskirt. Very serious dancer
RANDOM thought: Asked me why daddy didn't name her Burr instead of Brianna. Okay??

I love my girls!!!

We may have a problem here. Possibly an addiction :) All I know is whenever I have one of these babies in my hands someone goes ballistic for a sip.

Two of a Kind

One of the top 10 reasons Jon wanted a son. Don't worry his daughters show support too.

little helper

I have a little canister vacuum that I use to vacuum all of my hard floor. This thing is one of my best friends. We call him Blue Thunder (guess who made up that name and every other nickname in our family). Blue Thunder and I meet up everyday sometimes more then once. Lately the best part about my time with Old Blue is not my crumb free floors (which is still very nice) but my eager little helper. As soon as the roar of that vacuum starts Aiden comes running (okay crawling but really fast) from where ever he is. He grabs on to the back of that canister and pushs Blue all around the kitchen. As we turn corners Aiden laughs all the way. At the end when I am putting him away or leaving him out (whats the point I will probably have to vacuum again in a couple of hours) Aiden gives Blue a couple kisses. Now I actually wait until the little guy is awake before I vacuum. It has actually made a fairly enjoyable chore into a highlight of my day and I am sure his too.

The Gator turns 1

Here are the decorations; simple and sweet

I had to throw in a picture of the Gator with his later gator shirt
Just woke up from a nap and still groggy.

This was Aiden's own little cake

Decided to make little cupcakes instead of big cake

"Hum don't really know how to approach this."

This really is about as messy as I get.

It goes way to fast (March 2009)

More pictures to come off of Jon's camera ( he took better pictures).

Christmas 09

Here are some of my favorite (and only) sledding photos of the season courtesy of my friend Sheila. Enjoy!

Brianna

I'm in trouble here with my little Brianna. Where am I going wrong? She told me this morning that she had the most wonderful dream last night. She said that she was dating a boy WHAAAAT! This child thinks about dating and boyfriends and is only 6 years old. Does that make sense to anyone? I think the only solution here is no more Barbie movies.

First day of School

Another year of school. The summer was great (will blog about it soon) and we had alot of fun but by the last week we were ready to get back

Lizzie is in 2nd grade and likes her teacher. Her creek is Bear Creek (Each grade has a creek name)
Her teacher lives near us which is fun. Lizzie is doing choir this year which she is so excited about.

Brie is in Kindergarten and also loves her teacher. Her creek is Dove Creek. She gets to go early everyday for lunch which she loves. Brie (along with Lizzie) will be playing soccer again this year.

Good Luck Girls with the new school year. 2009/2010 school year here we come

Lizzy, Lizzie, Lizard

I feel like things are not to often about you. Lots of attention is gravitated towards your sister or your baby brother. But what about you. You have such a fun, spunky, sassy attitude that you need to be spotlighted.

What can I say about Lizzie:

First of all she likes her name spelled Lizzy (but still lets me spell it the way I want to)

She prefers Lizzy but lets her friends call her Lizard

She is sporty in dress and attitude

She is super social prefers playing with friends over anything else

Creative, Musical (has amazing abilities on the piano) and
Competitive
Has rhythm and can really bust a move
Loves her Daddy
Loves her Blankie or what is left of it
Fish in the water

Makes her own eggs

Can vacuum, scrub showers and toilets

is motivated (will do anything for money or a Wii game)
Wants to choose the right
She is turning 8 on Oct 14th and will be baptized

Lizzie I love you!!

Yeah very surprised to see these pictures on my camera. I think my girls probably just saw Santa and thought we have to take pictures. Thank goodness they don't know what these commercials are about and really do they ever need to know, not something that mom or dad have to sit down and talk to them about.

Aiden is My Child too!

I have proof that Aiden is my child too. Yes I know I carried him for 9 months and yes that was very obvious to all but all I hear is how Aiden is a mini Jon (I have second thoughts about naming him Aiden he should be Jonathan jr or mini me). But today I got total confirmation that he is my child too. I was putting him in his carseat and he started to cry but then all of a sudden broke out into full on laughter. This is something that I used to do as a child. My mom said that when she used to spank me (when it was legal ha) I would just laugh. Brianna does this too she will cry about something and then start laughing. It was a beautiful moment.

Also Aiden is 6 months (last week). Growing up so fast but becoming more fun with each day. Look at those cheeks! WARNING :Disregard the licorice I really am a good mom

Brianna-isms

As we were driving into her school parking lot the other day she thought she saw a cat in someones car her comment was

"Mom I saw a real cat in that humans car."

Brianna found a toy that her cousin Maddy left here when she was visiting last month and I guess it made her think of Maddy so this is what she said,

"Mom can Auntie Megan mail Maddy to our house?"

another famous line from Brie

"When you were a kid I was your mom." This one is interesting.

Here's one for the tabloids "Mom Tigra (that's our cat) is your kid, she came out of your belly too."

I get great lines like this daily and will need to start writing them down. Who knows if I get good at blogging maybe I will do a weekly post of: Brianna-isms.

Hospital or Hotel

The other day Brie and I were driving past the hospital where Aiden was born when she said "Look mom, there's the hotel where baby Aiden was born". She also called it the "doctor hotel where I stayed at a long time to have baby Aiden" Maybe she got this idea because I kept telling her mommy was going on a vacation to have baby Aiden (which is true 4 days of being in a place without my children, with room service and people waiting on me is a vacation in my book) or maybe she got the idea because it is such a nice hospital and does in a slight way resemble the casino's that we lived near in Las Vegas. Either way I do agree with her on the whole doctor hotel concept. This experience was by far the best out of all my children. The rooms were nicely decorated and huge. The food was amazing (the cheesecake, fresh blueberry pancakes, wrap sandwich, and hamburger were my favorites) and the people were so nice. I told Jon that I would have another baby just to go back. Jon even said he would like a mild illness for a week just to have his own mini vacation. Now that I think of it I think Jon and I probably need to get away to a real hotel.

Kids at the Zoo

Lizzie wanted to ride the train by herself
And here's Brie riding the Carousel of course by herself
(these kids and there independence)

Aiden looking at the birds in the bird house

Denver Zoo

During spring break I took the kids to the Zoo. I was a little nervous doing it with Aiden because was only a month old and nursing was still a 45 minute ordeal but we were going crazy in the house. The trip actually did turn out easier then I thought and when it came time for me to feed the baby I came up with what I thought turned out to be a risky but brilliant idea (at least for my situation). I decided to let the girls take pictures with my camera (that was the risky part and Jon will probably be pretty upset with me when he reads this) but the brilliant part was that it kept the girls busy for 45minutes without them whinning about going to the next animal. We stopped at the penguins which are my childrens absolute favorite right now (because of the penguins of Madagascar) and this is what we got:

I was shocked when I saw these pictures (There were alot more then this but I didn't think anyone would want to look at picture after picture of penguins).  I think Lizzie has quite the eye when it comes to picture taking but I am her mom and quite bias.

Aiden

Here is a slide show of baby Aiden for all of those who have yet to see the little guy. I can't believe it took me so long to get this on here but I can truthfully say I have not had a second to get this done (I am lucky if I get dressed for the day).

Fun Halloween photos from this year (and yes I am a little bit slow publishing these). Brie was Rapunzel without the long hair (I think that would make her just another princess but whatever) and Lizzie was Wonder Woman (she wanted to be a super hero and we thought it would be a great time to introduce her to a classic, she loved!! it). We had to throw in one more of our beautiful cousin Hunter (somehow we had to put Bries wig to use and He volunteered).
